Hypothyroid
Hello, my name is Soma Bose(age 46yrs). Recently I had done my TSH test and the value was found to be 5.11. My pulse rate is generally around 90-100 and recently i could hear my heart beating in my chest. I already take Thyronorm 75mg, may I know whether I need to change my dose?

Dose of thyroxine depends on your body weight . In case of sub clinical hypothyroidism the total dose should be around 1 micro grams per kg while as for over hypothyroidism it’s around 1.6 to 1.8 micro grams per Kg . The range of TSH should be mid normal of the reference range . So your current dose needs to be increased as per your TSH . The current symptoms may not be related to your thyroid issue .
Next Steps
You should always do T4 also along with TSH .
