Hypothalamic hamartoma
Suffering from H.H. with a lesion measuring 1.2 cm. × 1.4 cm. Can this be treated with medication apart from surgery.. Because we are fully tensed as the baby is just 9 months old and very active. We never feel that he has such a problem... Please help us...

Hello, Sorry to hear this. HH can cause two types of symptoms - epilepsy or hormonal disturbances like precocious puberty. Depending on the symptoms which develop, it can be treated with medications. Unfortunately medications are usually not as effective as surgery in some cases. Please upload your scans and we can discuss this further. Best wishes.
