Hypertrophic cardiomypathy
Hello , iam a patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy age 22 detected 2 years back. With wall thickness >30 mm . My brother died 2 months back age 27 with same diagonis. Due to arrythmia . Iam having ICD implanted as per my cardiologist . Is alcohol ablation necessary ? Or should i continue with my cardiologists opinion

It is better to be safe than sorry Alcohol ablation will help you to control the thickness and the trigger for a arrhythmia is increasing thickness It is also worthwhile to know your gradient in the echo
