My bp is sudden high due to bad lifestyle in last 3 months. it went up from 130/90 to 155/100 doctor suggested me telma 40 i insist him to give me telma 20 but he refused please suggest 1. Its good to start with 40 mg initially(i never took bp medicine before)? 2. Do i need to take this medicine lifetime or i can stop them gradually in future?(with doc advise) please answer above 2 queries..thanks in advance

Start with telma 40 mg Based on ur BP medicines can be reduced or increased If it's controlled.... Under doctor advice dose can be reduced
