Hyper pigmentation
I am having hyper pigmentation around my mouth, chin and below nostril.. I am having this issue since from my 10th grade...and my lips are also dark. It is embarrassing for me. I consulted a dermatologist. she prescribed me KC lite cream, melascreen sun screen and a advanced skin brightening cream( don't know its name). Still there is no improvement in my skin. Also she told , the condition is because of PCOS. please suggest me what to do to my hyper pigmentation.

Thanks for the query. Dark spots could mean many things. I assume what you mean is probably post acne pigmentation or post inflammatory pigmentation. Targeting through a single agent may not always be fruitful. Meet a qualified Dermatologist to learn more about the diagnosis and treatment options. Combination of different therapeutic agents is always beneficial. Revlite I.e. Q-switched Nd YAG laser has been available for stubborn pigmentation and can be helpful when topical creams fail. Hope it helps.
Next Steps
A good skin care regimen comprises 4 steps - cleansing, toning, moisturizing and sunblock. Based on your skin type, a dermatologist will recommend you appropriate products.
