Hsv 1 & 2 igm positive

Question

Asked for Female, 21 Years

I didn't have sex or any physical contact( even kissing) for past 3 months. But today my hsv 1&2 igm test came positive (1.11) but hsv 1&2 igg is negative (0.50). I had chicken pox 4 months ago. What is my problem here?

HSV infection appears to be acquired some time back as it's HSV IgM positive. Even you said no contact or sex in past 3 months. It might be older exposure of few months or years ago. Please introspect. Anyways ..... You need HSV treatment.
