My father is 58...he is hospitalized on oxygen Support from last 3days as his spO2 dropped below 89.
About a week ago he had HRCT 5/25 and RTPCR +ve.
Today after doc suggestion we had him tested again HRCT 17/25 but rtpcr -ve...what does this mean...is HRCT score a reason to worry...I just want to know if there's any danger and why is rtpcr -ve this time when lung Infection has increased

CT score of 17/25 is catagorised as severe disease. As he is admitted, he might be getting steroids and o2 support and remedesivir,
Previously before 5 days the CT score was 5/25 . CT scan was taken early so score is less
Rtpcr is negative because the viral phase is over and the lesions in the lung are due to our immune system attacking so it is immune response in our body , not due to virus , so rtpcr is negative
HRCT Severity Ratings showing that Lung Involvement is increasing.
