You should get yourself tested two weeks after an unprotected sexual intercourse with a person who is not known to you or if you are the only exclusive partner of that person.
If the person is suffering from another STI like Gonorrhoea or Chlamydia then you should get yourself tested within 2 days of sexual intercourse for these infections.
