Diarrhoea can occur as a side effect of antibiotics in the H. pylori kit. If it is mild, maintain adequate hydration and take ORS after loose stools.
Next Steps
Lactobacillus may be considered as an adjunct, although evidence of benefit during H. pylori treatment is mixed. Avoid self-medicating with anti-diarrhoeal drugs. If diarrhoea is frequent or persistent, contact your treating doctor to review the regimen. Do not independently discontinue or alter the kit.
Health Tips
Seek prompt medical evaluation for blood in stools, fever, severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, dizziness, reduced urine output, or profuse watery diarrhoea.

Diarrhea after starting an HP Kit can occur as a side effect of the antibiotics present in the kit. Antibiotics may disturb the normal intestinal bacterial flora, resulting in loose stools, abdominal discomfort and bloating. My recommendations: 1. ORS: Drink oral rehydration solution after each loose stool to prevent dehydration. 2. Diet: Eat light, easily digestible foods such as rice, bananas and khichdi. Avoid oily foods, alcohol and foods that worsen diarrhea. 3. Probiotics: Certain probiotics, such as Saccharomyces boulardii or Lactobacillus preparations, may help reduce antibiotic-associated diarrhea in some patients. However, their benefit is variable, and they are not routinely necessary. Consult your treating doctor before starting one. 4. Avoid self-medication: Do not start loperamide or additional antibiotics without medical advice. If you have experienced only one or two mild loose stools, it may be a temporary antibiotic-related side effect. However, since diarrhea started immediately after the first dose, please inform your prescribing doctor before the next dose so that its severity can be assessed. Do not independently discontinue or change the antibiotic regimen. If you develop frequent watery diarrhea, fever, severe abdominal pain, blood in stools, dizziness or reduced urine output, seek urgent medical attention. I would like to know a few more details: 1. How many episodes of loose stools have you experienced since taking the first dose? 2. Are the stools completely watery or just soft? 3. Do you have associated abdominal pain, fever, nausea or vomiting? 4. Can you share the exact medicines or a photograph of the HP Kit you are taking? These details will help determine whether this is a mild antibiotic-related side effect or requires a change in treatment.

Diarrhea right after starting an H. pylori kit is a common side effect, usually from the antibiotics in it, not a sign the treatment is failing. It often settles within a few days as your gut adjusts.
Next Steps
Keep taking the full kit, since stopping early can let the infection come back resistant to treatment. Add a probiotic such as Saccharomyces boulardii between doses, and stay well hydrated with ORS or coconut water.
Health Tips
See your doctor the same day if the diarrhea turns bloody, becomes severe, or you can't keep fluids down.
