My mother has scars from Varicose veins / ulcer around her ankles. The skin has become rough (itches frequently) and discolored (brown). Even though she hasn't had an ulcer breakout in the last 2-3 years, the scars were not getting lighter on their own. Recently (a month back) she started using Diosmin cream, which seem to be helping with the scars. Can she continue using that on a regular basis? What other treatment can help?

Good morning
Varicose veins need to be treated or there will be repeated break downs and condition might get worsened.
The best is laser treatment
For the scars ,they will stay..the best we can do is moisturize the scars and apply vaniza gel for scar modification
If a detailed Consultation for scars and laser treatment of varicose veins is required.please do get back in contact.
