How to treat pre-diabetes
Hi doctor, I am seeing pre-diabetes range from last two day. My fasting sugar is 122 and post food is around 190. I am on medicine oleanz 2.5mg and peroxitine 37.5 mg for hypochondria treatment since last 7 month. My current weight is 96 early morning. I am trying to do walking for atleast 3km a day. But after all, I am not seeing change or decause in sugar. Note: I have families history of diabetes. My father is having since 20 yera but controlled now. Please suggest. I want to reverse before it late. My last h1bc1 was 6. I had covid last year.

Yes noted sugars in pre-diabetic range... May be due to use of antipsychotic medicine.... 1. Ask your doctor can able to change olanzapine.... or reduce dose.. 2. Increase walking time and distance day by day.. so that atleast 5 to 10 kms a day.. if you walk.. may see changes in weight... and losing 7 % of your body weight , should help in reversing diabetes 3. Start replacing proportion of meal plate by lots of vegetables in place of rice , roti... And consult for any medication support needed
