How to skip a period
I had my 3rd baby over a year ago. Two months ago I went down to 2 feeds a day and a month ago I quit breast feeding. I assume my period will start up again in the next month or 2. From May 2-17 I am going to be hiking in 30-40 degree heat and do not want to have my period during that time if possible. So my question is this, if I begin the pill on may 2, not having had a period in a year, will the pill prevent my period from starting for those 2 weeks? Secondly, if my period starts on may 2, can it be stopped by taking the pill right away or will the period just happen anyways? (i understand the pill does not work as birth control with out knowing when the ovulation is)

According to me,you should not go for the pill .U had just stopped breast feeding now the hormones would start coming back to its normal rhythm. Pills would interfere with the natural cycle. I would suggest let it happen naturally. Just don't take stress.Eat nutritious diet. Dnt try to control your hormones artificially or it may create problem for you in future.
