How long before should stop alcohol

Hello, Tomarrow 3 pm my husband having small implementation surgery in his wrist and he consumed alcohol tonight at 9 pm. He is not yet admitted in the hospital, morning he ll be admit and he is not in any kind of medicine also..is there we need to worry? Can we procced with surgery tomorrow??
