I suffer from anxiety and have been prescribed 10mg citalopram and i keep waking up extremely hot and sweaty and its frightening. Is this a side effect and if so when will it wear off or is this me just having anxiety

This is not a sideeffect of citalopram
It is your anxiety because of which you are sweating so much
Next Steps
i would suggest that you start escitalopram 10mgs in the morning instead of citalopram along with clonazepam0.25mgs at bedtime
