HLB 27 Negative. High Uric acid and ESR
I have constant back pain and neck stiffness. Also feels compression while breathing. Last year in the month I consulted an Orthopedic surgeon. He examined me and did some X-rays and blood samples. One thing he was doubting was Ankylosing Spondylitis, so he did HLA B27, which came back negative. However ESR was high approx 34 with elevated high Uric acid. X-ray imaging showed Lumbar Spondylosis and Cervical Spondylosis. One thing more importantly I complained of to him was the pinching sensation in my left leg. He advised me to wear a lumbar belt which I wear regularly and get relief from pain. After 3 months under his advice and given exercises I again visited him.

Hi..considering your age it Would be pertinent to rule out spondyloarthritis. I would request you to get in touch with your rheumatologist. Mere absence of Halb27 doesn't help to rule it out... Need to assess clinically and decide. Potentially a Sacroiliac Joint MRI if clinically indicated also
