My friend diagnosed hiv + using rapid test, but no further test since then. She took medicinearv for 2 years after that. After two years, she did viral load test and negative, but her cd4 is still low. My questions are: 1. Could it be her first result is false positive? 2. What method that she need to do to make sure... Thanks

It’s unlikely that previous test was false negative. p24 assay can be done if in doubt. CD4 count don’t reduce in other diseases
