High TSH in my newborn baby 25 days old
My newly born baby recently detect high TSH (8), 1week before he reducing his weight but now he gain 300 GM in 8 days. As per doctor.mother milk is not enough so doctor recommended formula milk. I have given both formula milk and breast milk in alternate basis. I just want to know about TSH level impact on my son and how to cure. Is there any risk

TSH 8 for a newborn is not high so just stop worrying about it... If you still are very much concerned then get it repeated at 3 to 4 weeks of age along with FT4. The values of FT4 & TSH are different from the value ranges of adults. As far as feeding is concerned try feeding him 2hourly and it should be bowl & spoon feed for formula feeds don't use a bottle. However the mother milk is the best and usually is more than sufficient for a baby if the baby is passing 8 to 10 times urine and sleeping well.
