High SGPT & Gall Surgery
My SGPT went from 100 to 1200 within a week due to jaundice caused by CBD stone. It was cleared with ERCP. After 3 days it is still 1000.
How long it will take to come normal ?
Can gall surgery be done before it gets in normal range ?

It should come down after ERCP. You should do ultrasound , S. amylase , S.lipase . Gall bladder surgery should be done only if enzymes shows significant decreasing trend. There should not be pancreatitis.

Usually it doesnt take sgpt to remain that high post cbd stone removal
It comes down immediately within 48 hours due to stent
Gall bladder surgery has to be done only after liver enzyme normalisation
Or there could be residual cbd stones
