High protein excretion per day

Asked for Female, 57 Years

Hi, my mother has recently diagonised with protein excretion per day as 770. She has type two diabetes with little high levels. Doctor suggested to control diabetes level which will automatically control urine protein excretion levels. Do we have to do any other tests to be sure before consulting nephrologist. Thanks.

Probably, diabetes has affected the kidneys.. Leading to protein leak... U can get renal function tests done.. and ultrasound for kidneys
