My nephew , 3 years old, used to look sidewise , when got it checked there was power in eye around 5. It was thoroughly checked after diluting for 3 days and power was confirmed. The doctor mentioned that small kids have power that can be corrected upto age 8 .. So now he wears specs. But since 2 days, we have been noticing when he removes specs , his one eye remains in centre and the other eye normal. When we ask him to look straight then it comes back to normal. Does specs have cause this or what is wrong here .

If he has just started wearing specs wait for 1month and then consult pediatrician ophthalmologist for proper squint and refraction evaluation.
