High fever
3.5 years old(11.8 kgs), suffering from stomach infection for past 2days. Yesterday fever started and Dr suggested meftal p syrup. She had meftal p at 9:30pm. At 4am fever is 2.5 and I gave paracetamol 250mg(unable to feed anything before). Is it safe to use paracetamol after meftal p?

Avoid meftal. Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely. Give just paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required. For stomach upset, give ors after every loose motion if watery and add curds and Banana in the diet. If not improving, consult your paediatrician again.
