High cholesterol stopped taking pres
Hi doc I used to take prescription medicine atorvastatin for my cholesterol check and stopped taking it for past 2 months I checked my blood and report came as high cholesterol - 247 so should I continue to take the medicine daily to keep it control ? Kindly advise Thank you

Hai, You are not supposed to avoid medication with out informing doctors. And your cholesterol is not under control. So start a good lifestyle and take proper medication and do exercise.

Hi, Cholesterol is one the body components which is synthesized by body and also get from food. To maintain cholesterol level one should follow  balanced diet where fat should be restricted  and fibre rich. As you have mentioned that you have diagnosed with high BP with high cholesterol level then you should follow medication with a healthy lifestyle. Include more vegetables, fruits in your diet which will help to control it and choice of cooking oil is also another factor.

Try to do exercise in regular basis, which will help to increase good cholesterol level. Please don't stop to take medicine without doctor's concern
