High calcium in blood and high PTH level
Hello- My mother has calcium 11.1 and PTH level is 153. When I consulted a doctor at my place, he said it is due to the PTH glands and surgery is the only option. Is there an immediate requirement for surgery or can she wait and watch for some time? Can this situation be brought to normal using medications? What medications can help her out? She is 57 year old is taking Blood Pressure tablets since last 3 years. However, her BP is mostly controlled.

She needs a proper evaluation as to the cause of the imbalance. This includes several blood tests and workup for diseases like Sarcoidosis etc.
