High blood pressure and chest pain
Last night, my mother was having a stress which causes high blood pressure (191/110) and chest pain... Normally her blood pressure comes normal (125/80)... But when she takes stress , condition like chest pain and high blood pressure arises... Does she need medication??? And what kind of daily routine/diet she should follow to reduce this situation? Total cholesterol, HDL is normal LDL is 124

Hi, sudden increase in BP will give such symptoms of restlessness, chest pain , palpitations. To avoid stress she will need some anxiolytic medications. As she has no other risk factors of Coronary artery disease a normal BP and lifestyle will suffice. Intermittent or constant high BP will affect heart so needs immediate attention. Small changes in habits will bring significant improvement.
