I have been on maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) for the past 3.3 years, initially using an F6 dialyzer with a frequency of 3 sessions per week. Recently, my doctor advised testing for Beta-2 Microglobulin (B2M), and the results showed levels exceeding 50,000. As a result, HDF dialysis thrice a week has been prescribed.
My concern is: how many HDF sessions would typically be required to bring B2M levels down to a normal or borderline range? Since long-term HDF is not financially sustainable for me, would continuing with high-flux HD using an FX8 dialyzer help reduce B2M levels over time?

If u compare all the three low flux<high flux<hdf in clearance of b2 microglobulin and other toxins .there is no clear estimated number of dialysis but in a rough estimate of hdf 6 months should help you see the beneficial effects over other types of hd
