Herpes/shingles/allergy
Last year around may I had ulcer on my lips and inside mouth. After two months I had ulcers at the earlier spots along with my penis. Again after 2-3 motnhs there was an out break. Now I felt like I had herpes virus (despite not having any sexual history). This repeated again after 3 months with too many blisters at by back and chest. Lips, inside mouth & scrotum are badly effected. This time after it healed, I are too much of eggs chicken and mutton to which I am allergic. And the situation came back again within 2 days of consuming. This time I have red patches on my whole body with blisters which won't burst at my back and chest. I had chicken pox at a very tough age. I am in terrible pain and don't know what to do. I did consult dermatologist. Last time famciclovir & ointments. This time only atarax and ointments. Is this due to virus or allergy cause I ate mutton egg chicken in two days and the next day I had this breakout. I can mail the pics if you want. Give me your mail id.

Herpes infection when troublesome to the patient, suppressive therapy can be considered. It is usually offered to patients who suffer with more than or equal to 6 episodes in a year. It can be started with lesser episodes also if the quality of life of the patient is disturbed. Suppressive therapy promises break free intervals and longer remission with reduced dosage. It should be given for a minimum of 6 months duration. In certain cases, the effect works even after discontinuation but as said a period of 6 months has to be there.
