Herpes positive
Hello. I am sarath. I recently ( 6 weeks ago) had unprotected sex (condom broke). I consulted a doctor on practo and he prescribed me to use a medicine called "viropil" for 28 days. I started the course before 24 hours of possible exposure. After the course of 28 days is done, I waited two more weeks (6 weeks window period) and took complete std panel test. All are negative (hiv, hep, etc) except HSV-1. Herpes-1 result came as positive. HSV-1 IgG is positive (58.4)  and rest (HSV-2 IgG and HSV-1 IgM, HSV-2 IgM) are negative. Currently I have no symptoms at all and even in the past I had no symptoms. What should I do now? I am worried. Please suggest.

Hello, It is a past herpes infection nothing to be done at present. It doesn't seem to be sexually transmitted....it can be herpes labialis, which is a common infection otherwise.
