Is there a chance of infection for elective epigastric hernia surgery during summer months/during monsoons? Also, does the quality of mesh being used matter?

Chance of infection is almost the same in all seasons. The main thing is that after the procedure, you should keep the wound site as well as the surrounding area very clean.
Next Steps
a good quality mesh and immaculate technique is necessary to prevent bad outcomes.
