Hernia issue for my father
My father aged 72 is going for Hernia surgery. For him left side became more issue than other side. Dr.decided to do only on left side now. Kindly let me know once it completed the other side also need to do very soon or it will be controlled.

It is a planned surgery and other side also can be operated in a planned manner until and unless hernia is obstructed or strangulated.
Dealing problem one be one in 72 yrs age is a safer option with appropriate interval between two planned surgeries. It implies adequate recovery from first surgery may take fortnight to 1-2 months.
