Hemoglobin falling during 6th month
Hi doc i started with 10.6hb level during 1st month of pregnancy which is continuously falling and now in my 6th month I am 7.2hb even after taking iron pills. after consulting my doctor I am on iron iv for 7days. I do not have any obvious symptoms or bleeding visible but could that be sign of some internal problem? What tests should i go for?

During pregnancy in order to supply blood to baby there is hemodilution so hb falls as pregnancy advances .if you are on regular iron however this should be corrected .see if hb does not improve despite iv iron then get peripheral smear and electrophoresis
