Help Rule out Liver Disease / Fibrosis
Request guidance from a hepatologist. 47yr Male , 83 Kgs, 178 Cms My SGOT/SGPT ratio is above normal (1.55). HDL is 39. HOMA IR is 2.14. FIB-4 is 1.46 (screenshot attached) All other markers are normal. Under thyroid medication (137.5 mcg) BP is under control (taking amlodipine 2.5mg). Abdominal-liver ultrasound is normal. Do I need a fibroscan to rule out fibrosis?

Your FIB-4 (1.46) and SGOT/SGPT ratio (1.55) suggest low risk of fibrosis, especially with a normal ultrasound. A FibroScan is optional but can provide more clarity. Monitor liver enzymes and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
