Help me! I don't wanna turn diabetic.
I am 27yo, fairly active guy. So, few weeks back when i used to check my fasting blood sugar, it was somewhere under 110. Today i tried checking my blood sugar it is 6.5 around 120 in the blood glucose monitor that i have at home. To confirm I used 4-5 strips and all were in the same region. I am scared. Last week i walked around 18-20kms per day as i was out on a trip. Now all of a sudden why this sugar spike? I eat mostly basmati rice with dal and some subzi(it might be chicken, paneer or bhindi ki sabzi) and this is my regular diet. I don't eat junk much unless it's absolutely necessary. Please help me, am I pre diabetic? How to i stop this? What food modifications or life modifications are required? Recently i lost around 2 kgs of weight as well. I am too scared. Please help me. No family history of diabetes.
