Heavy Vaginal Itching
Hi..I have been facing a very severe vaginal itching & burning sensation particularly in the vaginal opening & lips.It gets too severe at several times in the day & horrible at night.Also accompanied with white thick discharge & a weird odour.Saw a GP & she has suggested me Taxim-O 200 for twice a day morning & night.She has also prescribed Urikind syrup to be taken thrice a day.Its been 2days that I am taking this but see no betterment. Please advise.This is too painful & embarrassing.

Hi there...I can understand your concern. Are you sexually active? Vaginal itching and discharge could be due to many reasons like urinary tract infection, gonorrhoea, non gonococcal urethritis, bacterial vaginosis, pelvic inflammatory disease. Rarely even herpes also can manifest with such symptoms. It will need clinical examination to further evaluate it. So kindly consult a nearby dermatologist or gynecologist for further evaluation.
