Heavy period for 2 days, then light?

Asked for Female, 44 Years

I'm taking 100mg of Clomid. I ovulated on day 19 but could only have intercourse on day 20 as my husband was away. My period started on day 36 (1 week later as my usual period would have been). I bled very heavily the first day with clotting (dark red), I bled the second day, then nothing during that eve and spotting the next day. When could I take a pregnancy test just to check. I heen seenwritings regarding a miscarriage indicating that there's a grey colour to it. I didn't have that. Regards
