Heart problem
Hi everyone. I just wanted to know is it necessary to do a bypass surgery when the heart blockages is between 60-70% can it be cured with medicines and secondly what is the Normal range of heart beat

If this percentage of blockage is not in LMCA then no intervention is indicated until the ischaemia is established by doing a stress thallium test or a FFR  test Please give the detailed angiography report so that I can comment on it Dr Ashish Srivastava General Physician and Clinical Cardiologist

Hello...... In fluid dynamics blood flow is reduce to one forth when vessel diameter is reduced to half. So even minimal reduction in vessel diameter reduces blood flow to heart drastically... by pass surgery is only option ....normal heart rate is 60 to 100 beat per minute.....
