Headaches & trouble remembering names
I’ve headaches around once or twice a month from around 10 years. Headaches stops within a minute or so if I take any medicine like disprin, Vicks action 500 etc. Currently, headaches are around the frequency. But, from last 1-2 years I’m having difficulties fetching things mostly names & feels getting it worse. Also sometimes I feel confused & have some difficulties concentrating. I’m Computer science student. So, major part of the day goes with computers and mobile. Can it also be the cause of it? I met with a doctor few days ago. He prescribed me some tablets related to migraine: Grenate Plus & Snapit for a month. But, I feel it’s not a migraine issue. Past history: Fall once on back of head 10-15 years ago, not major though.

Hi First of all there is nothing to worry. This can happen when you focus too much on computer screens. I don't think the fall 10-15 years ago would be related to this symptom. Do you sleep well at night ? Do you have more REM sleep ? Migraine is not a diagnosis that an be proven so easily, so I call it a waste basket or a common basket diagnosis that many patients use to describe the cause of their headaches when nothing else pops in their minds. Migraine occurs very particularly, very peculiarly. More common causes of headaches are refractory errors in eyes glaucoma in eyes, sinusitis and Computer visions syndromes also cause headaches. Staring on the Laptop and tablets and mobiles also leads to degenerative changes int he spine which you call spondylosis which can also lead to such headaches.
Next Steps
Get X R PNS, if required a CT scan of head, check refractory errors checked. Best is to get a physical exam by a doctor similar to my qualifications done and let him take appropriate steps.
