HBF value in first trimester of pregnanc

Asked for Female, 29 Years

Hello, Recently done blood check of my wife who is 2 months pregnant now. Below are two values in which HBF is worrying us, HB A - 71% HB F - 24.5 % Reports specifies it used HPLC method for test. We have a gynaecologist appointment 3 days later. However still need to check if there is something to worry about. Any suggestion on this will be very helpful. Thanks

HbF during first trimester upto .71% is normal. Have they done Hb Electrophoresis. Consult haematologist. High Hb F requires detailed study. You will have to take extra precautions.
