I went to go get an IUD implanted yesterday, but unfortunately my uterus was too shallow (5cm) to insert the IUD. My doctor still said that I should not have sex for a week, as she had to dilate my cervix to measure the depth of my uterus. Given that I do not have the IUD inside, may I have sex less than a week from when I went to the doctor? Would there be negative consequences if I do?

There are always chances that you may become pregnant depending on what phase of cycle you are and therefore your doctor must have told you to abstain from sex
