Having problem in first time

I got married recently a week ago and my wife's vagina is too small. When I try it hurts her. We are unable to makeup. Can I use local anaesthesia (Lignocaine Hydrochloride Gel - Xylocaine)? Please suggest me something. We both are sad 😞
