Having bicornuate utreus
Doctor is there any problem of having bicornuate utreus. ..am having my baby on my left uterus. ..and my cervix length is 3.4 One of my family member also have bicornuate utreus. ..wats the matter is she gives birth 2months before of her delivery date. ..so am very scared of this.....this is my completing of 5th month...so kindly tell ur suggestions doctor.

When you have bicornuate uterus you may be at risk of abortion or preterm birth. So you need to be monitored frequently for the length of the cervix ( mouth of the uterus). If there is progressive shortening you may require a cervical stitch to close the mouth of the uterus and it will be removed at 37weeks of pregnancy. If the cervical length is good you are unlikely to have apreterm birth.
