I suffer with anxiety and it has been really bad this week. As a way of coping I have turned to smoking cigarettes. I used to smoke but quit and took up running (joining a running club) a couple of year back. I know smoking will have negative effects on my running and fitness and I will quit again as soon as possible. But i’m getting anxious about how much damage I have done to my fitness by smoking and will I be back to square one with my running again or will I still have some fitness left?
