Yes it is possible and hormones do play a role in growth of a person.
There is a network of hormones, each influencing the other in action.
Generally growth hormone is one in which if there is a deficiency a person wont be able to grow tall. Thyroid hormone excess will induce weight loss etc.
So its complex. For more on this issue you have to consult a endocrinologist in person for further evaluation and management.
