Hair loss after C.diff recovery
Hi, I have recently recovered from C.diff and have started to gain weight as well. I was sick and almost bed ridden for over 03 months. Symptoms included persistent fever, nausea, loss of apetite, weightloss, frequent motions and vomiting. My retest for c.diff came negative in Feb 1st week and I was on my way to recovery. However, some three weeks ago I noticed heavy hair fall like almost the size of a tennis ball, every time brush or wash my hair. I also have a itchy scalp and in these three weeks, I now have lost almost 60% of my hair. I had very long, wavy and heavy hair. Its a very embarrassing situation for me since my scall is now very scanty and I shed hair like a dog wherever I sit. I have cut my hair short too make them look heavy. Can somebody please tell me why is this happening and when will this stop? I was put on a 28 days course of Vancomycine 250mg*4 a day.
