Moderately elevated ESR and slight neutrophil predominance could be correlated clinically based on detailed history . It’s unlikely to be associated with any cancer related change , but could be due to some of post radiotherapy complications. Post radiotherapy thyroid deficiency is a very common post radiation complication- and it will be fine if you can continue tablet and do TSH blood test every 6 monthly . Some post radiotherapy / chemotherapy changes in oral cavity could lead to dental/gastric problem which could be the reason for elevated ESR/ and neutrophil levels. If he is not having any other site of infection or inflammation. I would recommend you to consult me online for detailed discussion and regular follow up advises. Also would recommend use of saliva substitutes regularly for him if there is dryness in his mouth .
