Grunting behaviour of one year old baby
My one year two month old baby is grunting three to gives times a day or two to three times a day. It is like she is holding her palms closed, grunting, her facing turning red and looks like a slight shivering kind of thing which just is lasting upto three seconds maximum. But she is normal before and after that and nothing seems unusual rather than that. She is not having fever, she eats normally, she is active and everything is fine. I just wanted to know whether this is normal. Sometimes she grunts to pass stools which is seen normally. But sometimes, for no reason, she is doing it. Any doctors, please help me with this. I consulted my pediatrician and he told it's normal. I'm still worried.

Grunting while passing stool is normal. Babies might grunt if they have constipation issue. Intermittent grunting might be because of gases issue or minimal cramps. But if she is otherwise normal before and after that event then it's absolutely fine.
Next Steps
If she has hard stool or constipation try to increase fibre in diet and adequate water intake
