Grave disease
I have grave disease. I am taking neo mercazole 5 MG daily from past one month. Earlier my TSH was low. I did test last month. T3 - 1.31 T4 - 6.65 TSH - 0.574 Kindly let me know how long I need to continue medicine. Thank you.

Hi.. Is diagnosis of graves disease made with Technitium scan?? Usually Graves disease continue for more than 1 year ... If you keep total t4 in normal numbers then may not have complications Note : if you dont have thyroid opthalmopathy.. you can also plan for Radio iodine theraphy But I suggest you to continue neomercazole 5mg has just minimum dose Your T4 levels are normal
Next Steps
2 to 3 monthly TSH, Total T4 monitoring and adjusting dose
Health Tips
1. Avoid smoky area / smooking 2. Have Sun exposure daily around 12 to 3 pm and calcium supplement if needed
