Giardiasis lamblia found
I had haemeoglobin level 8.4 two months back. then i took diet rich in iron.. I took fruit juice daily with beetroot juice in it.. I got my haemeoglobin checked recently and it had dropped down to 7.. i went for stool tests. it stated that i have Giardiasis Lamblia. doctor gave me tablet Zentel. I have taken one tablet and I am supposed to take next one after few days. Also I am underweight. I am 5'4" in height and my weight is 43-44 kg. I want to gain proper weight and have proper haemoglobin level. pleases help..

Worms infestation. You are getting the right medicine already. Please continue the same . In fact I will add one more tablet Metrogyl 400 mg thrice daily for 3 days. All the best

Your low hemoglobin levels and underweight is because of giardiasis. U can take T.tinidazole as a single dose. Once giardia is eliminated, meet a good dietitian and u will gain weight.
