Getting black and hard stools

Dear sir my father got paralyased 12 days before since then he is on the bed.his stool is getting black and hard and also he is unble to pass the stool completely. dr prescribed me CREMAFFIN syrup for is that ok to give him or he have some serious problem

That's completely fine to take cremaffin.bed ridden pt usually suffer from such prob. The thing which matters is how much cremaffin he is taking.it is usually taken 30 ml in night'before bed time,and also u have to see that pt should not suffer from diarrhoea,so u have to increase or decrease the dose accordingly.
