Hi Drs. I am diagnosed with thyroid cancer in the neck and preferred to do surgery. There is a general surgeon doctor is nearby to my home. Please suggest whether i can get surgery from him or I need to look for surgical oncologist... Thanks...

Your odds for smooth recovery are better with a surgical oncologist or a head and neck surgeon... Unless the general surgeon is someone senior and quite experienced
