Hello, I was prescribed 100mg of doxycycline for 14 days and flagyl (metronidazole) 400mg for 14 days to treat chlamydia. This is my first time having this sti. I’ve read everywhere that the usual dosage is 7 days and am wondering why mine is longer? I was also told that I’d be okay to have sex a week after starting my treatment and wanted to check this is correct (my potential partner is not the one who infected me and is fine) Thanks for any help.
